Ainsley Earhardt Opens Up About Love, Loss — and the Sweet Nickname Sean Hannity Calls Her Every Morning ☀️💍
A quiet start. A second chance. And a relationship built behind the scenes…. To most viewers, Ainsley Earhardt is the smiling face that “wakes up America” each morning on Fox News. But behind the camera, there’s a deeper story of heartbreak, healing, and unexpected love — one that includes fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity, now her confirmed fiancé.
In a rare and heartfelt interview, Ainsley shared a glimpse into their relationship — including the endearing nickname Sean uses every day:
“He calls me ‘Sunshine.’”
Why? “Because I’m always smiling,” she said warmly. “And I wake up America.”
From Rumors to Reality
After years of speculation, the couple went public with their relationship and engagement in late 2024. Ainsley (48) and Sean (63) had quietly grown close, supporting one another through personal struggles — including divorce, parenting, and grief.
Interestingly, Ainsley said she didn’t even know Sean had been divorced until well into their friendship. He had kept the matter entirely private. Her own separation from former NFL quarterback Will Proctor in 2019 was more public. The couple married in 2012, faced the heartbreak of a miscarriage, and later welcomed their daughter Hayden in 2015.
“I always wanted to be married once — I’m a strong Christian,” Ainsley reflected. “But life doesn’t always go as planned.”
Navigating Life, Loss, and Love
Since the divorce, she and Will have embraced co-parenting in New York City, with Will handling morning school drop-offs and Ainsley managing after-school time.
“I didn’t stay in the marriage just to stay married,” she shared. “I wanted Hayden to grow up in a happy home.”
Her faith — and Hannity’s steady presence — helped carry her through one of her hardest chapters: the loss of her mother in 2022.
“Even in the darkest times, I saw God,” she said. “He lifted me up.”
A Long-Distance Romance That Works
Though she’s based in New York for work, Ainsley spends weekends with Hannity and her daughter at his Florida home.
“After church on Sundays, we have brunch before heading back,” she smiled. “I love my life in New York, too.”
The couple plans to hold a private wedding, with just their children present. A prenuptial agreement will also be in place. Hannity, who shares two adult children with his ex-wife Jill Rhodes, has handled the transition with care.
“Divorce happens,” Ainsley acknowledged. “But it’s never romantic.”
A Love Built on Friendship
Before the world knew about their relationship, Sean had already become Ainsley’s rock.
“He was there for me when I needed a friend,” she said. “I fell in love because we truly enjoy each other’s company.”
Their romance, which first sparked rumors in 2020, remained under wraps until they received formal approval from their workplace.
Now, with the future wide open, Ainsley says she’s simply thankful.
“Life is beautiful now — even when it’s a little chaotic. I’m enjoying every moment.”
And each new day still begins with a simple, loving word from Sean:
“Good morning, Sunshine.” ☀️
