Woman issues terrifying warning after finding a stroller abandoned

Woman issues terrifying warning after finding a stroller abandoned on the side of the road… Definitely be careful!

A new disturbing scam that targets kind-hearted people has started spreading, and one mom, Nancy Walsh, is warning others so they don’t fall for it.

Her urgent post says: “If you see a stroller, car seat, or any type of baby situation alone in the middle of nowhere, please, I repeat, don’t get out. Be safe.”

It’s natural to feel concerned when you see baby items by the roadside, and most people’s first thought would be to stop and make sure a child isn’t in danger.

Walsh, who works in real estate, came across this chilling sight while driving on a quiet country road. She shared photos of a stroller left on the grassy edge of the road, surrounded by tall trees, with no other cars around. Her headlights lit up the stroller, which was facing away—adding to the eerie feeling.

According to Walsh and many people online, this might be a trap. “Never get out. Always call 911 and let the police check it out,” someone commented. Others added that criminals wait nearby, ready to rob or hurt anyone who gets out of their vehicle. “It’s sad, but some people use kids as bait,” one person wrote.

The idea is to trick drivers into stepping out, leaving their car running or unlocked. That’s when the scammer strikes—stealing the car, robbing the person, or worse.

Some users did mention that abandoned strollers could also be second-hand items people leave out in hopes someone else will take them. But most agreed the risk is too high to ignore.

“It’s bait. Don’t fall for it. Stay in the car, lock the doors, and call 911,” one person strongly advised.

Walsh’s post struck a chord with thousands of people, especially mothers who said they would’ve stopped without thinking. “This is so cruel—they’re targeting the kindest people,” someone commented.

Sadly, this isn’t the only scam like it. There are reports of people pretending to faint or cry for help while others hide nearby waiting to attack.

Many women shared their own close calls. One said she once pulled over to help a man lying on the roadside, but a police officer later told her it was a common trap and warned her to be more careful.

Walsh’s warning quickly went viral and has been shared over 23,000 times. It’s a powerful reminder to always stay alert, especially when something feels off—even if it tugs at your heart.

No matter how strong the urge to help, don’t put your own life at risk. Stay safe, call the police, and let them handle it.

Please share this with your family and friends to help keep others safe too.
