Ingredients
Makes 4 breads

1 cup warm milk (not hot)
1 tsp sugar
2¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1 egg yolk (for brushing)
1 tsp sesame seeds + 1 tsp nigella seeds (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Activate Yeast
In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–7 minutes until foamy.
  2. Make the Dough
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix and knead into a soft dough (about 6–8 minutes by hand or 4–5 in a mixer).
  3. Let It Rise
Cover and rest the dough for 45–60 minutes or until doubled in size.
  4. Shape the Bread
Punch down the dough and divide into 4 portions. Roll each into a ball, then flatten into a ½-inch thick circle or oval.
  5. Brush and Top
Place one or two dough rounds into the air fryer basket lined with parchment paper. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame/nigella seeds.
  6. Air Fry
Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 7–9 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Repeat with remaining dough.

Serving Tips:
Serve warm with hummus, garlic butter, or as a wrap for grilled meats and veggies.
